Summary: Performs activities of checking, receiving, and putting away incoming stock, inventorying, pulling orders, and delivering material as needed.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Included are the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Pulls orders from inventory. Verifies the accuracy of all items pulled for the order.
  • Stages and prepares orders while making sure the items are packaged neatly. 
  • Ability to read dimensional drawings and full understanding of pertinent specifications.
  • Must be able to pay attention to detail and comprehend the importance of accuracy.
  • Need to possess the skill to use measuring devices (i.e. calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc).
  • Understand the Quality manual and have the ability to identify non-conformances. 
  • Keeps racks and bin areas neat. Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
  • Stage outgoing material in the proper areas until shipment
  • Reports to the Distribution Coordinator any improvements or areas of concern. 
  • Completes all shipping paperwork in a timely manner and notifies DC of discrepancies. 
  • Counts, weighs, measures, or examines packaging and contents of items for conformance to customer specifications. 
  • Checks all material received against the purchase order and packing lists. 
  • Puts away stock material and restocks the primary order fill locations. 
  • Inspects the product for damage. Note in detail any damage to DC. Damaged or incorrect material can cause charge backs from customer.
  • Tag products with customer supplied part identification tags when required
  • Ensure all customer returned material is inspected and properly put away. 
  • Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies. 
  • Makes deliveries to customers and picks up materials as necessary.
  • Reports for work on a regular basis.
  • Works weekends and other hours as needed.

  • Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have or should develop knowledge of Eclipse software. Ability to work on personal computers using software applications such as Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Current Class D Driver's License 
  • Other Skills and Abilities: The ability to learn to operate a forklift and scissor lift is essential.
