Summary:      Become an Eastern eCommerce Product and Content Specialist where you will maintain and analyze our product data and marketing assets as well as utilize various analytics tools to understand the effectiveness of our marketing efforts, better understand our visitors and optimize our store for conversions and sales.


This position is responsible for supporting our ecommerce business by presenting our product lines and marketing programs to our customers in the most efficient and compliant method possible. This means ensuring all product and marketing content is complete and optimized for transacting by collecting, organizing and providing feedback on key product attributes, images, and other digital assets. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of urgency and understanding of managing data compliance requirements with multiple channel partners.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Included are the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Manage product data and images at the SKU and category levels, specifically:  resizing, reformatting, renaming, extracting, cleaning, manipulating, acquire and store product attributes, and media links.
  • Manage the ads that are running on the site.
  • Manage and monitor Insite/Google Analytics, SEO, and site traffic metrics.
  • Create product-focused content to be posted on social media avoiding copyright infringement.
  • Translate business requirements into the appropriate product data structure and work with the eCommerce / IT / Marketing teams on projects to streamline and improve the product content management process.
  • Contribute to ongoing systems improvements through process documentation to streamline processes and cross-team efficiency.

Qualifications:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Minimum Education and/or Experience:  Bachelor's Degree in Information Management or Marketing or equivalent combination of education plus industry and eCommerce experience.
  • Language Skills:  Ability to read and comprehend verbal and written instructions, correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple to advanced correspondence.   Ability to speak clearly and effectively with customers or employees of organization.
  • Mathematical Skills:  Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.  Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Reasoning Ability:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Computer Skills:  
    • Ability to work on personal computers using software applications such as Word, Excel, Google Apps (Gmail, Hangouts, Sheets, Docs, Drive), VPN, Chat, Facebook, Twitter, and Linkedin.
    • Ability to quickly and effectively learn new software.
    • Ability to work on mobile devices with Android and iOS operating systems.
    • High fluency in Excel including knowledge of advanced formulas and techniques.
    • Making suggestions for enhanced UX.
    • Prior experience with Insite Commerce and PIM technologies is a plus.
    • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite/Photoshop is a plus.
